WORLDDIDAC BASEL 2010 – October 27-29, 2010
The whole world of educational resources under one roof From 27 to 29 October 2010 Basel becomes the meeting point of the international Education and Training industry: exhibitors from 30 countries present at WORLDDIDAC Basel their products and services for all levels and sectors of education and training. Hints concerning customs formalities: Goods temporarily imported into Switzerland The exhibitor must guarantee payment of Swiss customs duty for goods temporarily imported into Switzerland until the goods have left Switzerland again. The best way to deal with this is to use the international customs document ’ATA Carnet’ which covers customs formalities not only in Switzerland, but also in the country of origin of the goods and in countries of transit. Exhibitors can obtain ’ATA Carnets’ from a Chamber of Commerce in their country. The declared value in Swiss francs is that for which the goods are offered for sale during the exhibition. In addition to customs duty, value-added tax is also payable.
